Default sources

By default, there are some organic sources that are created automatically in Adloop.

The matching for those sources cannot be edited.

The explainations on this page are valid for Adloop Attribution data-source, as well as for your Analytics sources.

  1. Direct

Traffic falling into Direct is traffic that has no identified tracking parameters and no identified referrers.

  1. SEO

Traffic falling into SEO is traffic that has no identified tracking parameters (source, medium, campaign…) and a referrer identified as a search engine (Google, Bing, Qwant etc.)

  1. Social organic

Traffic falling into Social organic is traffic that has no identified tracking parameters and a referrer identified as a social platform (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest)

  1. Referrers

Traffic falling into Referrers is traffic that has no identified tracking parameters and a referrer that is neither a search engine or a social platform.

  1. Internal (Adloop Attribution only)

Traffic falling into Internal is traffic that has no identified tracking parameters and a referrer that is the website itself. Traffic coming from subdomains to the main site fall by default into this category.

If the proportion is high, it can show incorrect set-up. Example : a full reload of the page after accepting the cookie banner and loosing the initial tracking parameters.

  1. Unknown

Traffic falling into Unknown is traffic that :

  • has no tracking templates

  • does not belong to any of the default channels described above

  • does not belong to any of the manual matching rules created
